Responsible use of Artificial Intelligence

How Legal Stones uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in its professional activity and on this website.

1. Commitment

Legal Stones works on AI governance and preventive legal consulting. Consistently with that focus, Artificial Intelligence tools are used in a responsible, transparent way, under professional human oversight.

2. Principles of use

  • Human oversight: AI may support analysis, drafting, organisation or research, but professional conclusions and deliverables are reviewed and owned by Lucía Piedras Aldao.
  • Minimisation and confidentiality: client data, confidential documents or identifiable information are not entered into public or generic tools without adequate safeguards (authorisation, anonymisation or a secure contractual environment).
  • Accuracy and no blind automation: AI outputs are checked. Significant legal decisions are not taken in a fully automated way.
  • Transparency: if a specific engagement involves a material use of AI in the process, the client may be informed when relevant to the service.
  • Compliance: AI use is aligned with the GDPR, Spanish data protection law and, where applicable, Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (AI Act) and governance good practice.

3. What Legal Stones does not do with AI

  • It does not replace professional judgement with an automatic system.
  • It does not use AI to build profiles with significant legal effects on individuals without an adequate legal basis and oversight.
  • It does not train its own models on client data without prior information and a legal basis.

4. Personal data

Personal data processing (contact, engagements, cookies, etc.) is described in the Privacy policy and the Cookie policy. If an AI tool acts as a processor or sub-processor, the corresponding contractual and security safeguards will be required.

This site may have been developed or maintained with the help of AI tools. Legal content published here is informational and reviewed before release; it does not replace personalised advice.
